  • Godaddy is the best for registering a domain name - just be careful as you go thru their order process. They have a lot of offers you may not need or want. hostgator.com for hosting.
  • Try to find a .com and with a name without hyphens. Don't have several words in the domain. There are no strict rules, just guidelines. Preferably 6 to 11 letters, ok that can be difficult. If longer, as 12 to 14 letters then it should be not more than two words. Best not to have any numbers. If you want suggestions, you may email me. Then, Godaddy... hmm.. I don't like godaddy and their labyrinth of upsells or whatever. It's an insult to their customers' intelligence. I use Name.com, they have been very cheap earlier and now they are as about the others. The do have promos every month and sometimes cheaper. However there support is top class, really. I have called them to and been speaking to a calm guy, taking time for me. Support at godaddy gives the impression that they don't read what you have written so you have to email them back. The support at Name.com is that good, so many many times I forgot to renew my domains and they were taken out of my account, I asked to get them back so I could renew them. And they have, every time. I don't think godaddy would have done that, because normally fees are taken out for that. They also return answers which shows they have read. Name.com looks easy to use, clean white pages. Godaddy are the biggest. But biggest is not always best. The majority is not always right either, as we know! Now I know there may be other readers too and I want to share how I investigated uk-registrars when I was going to register uk-domains. I found that some of those that were best were heartinternet.co.uk and daily.co.uk and both seem to have support all time. I have daily know, they seem very reliable, they have a lot to offer besides. A known uk-registrar is 123-reg.co.uk and their support is known to be almost non existent.
  • Godaddy is a good place to register domain names, but many people have some problems with their web hosting plans. As you may know a domain name is just a name, not a real website. If you are going to create your website: 1- Buy a domain name. A domain name is a name you want to call your website (ex: www.yahoo.com). To get a domain name, you have to pay an annual fee to a registrar for the right to use that name. 2- Buy a web hosting service to provide your online space and enable you to get your website online at your purchased domain name. If you want to start your website I recommend purchase your domain and hosting together. In this way it is possible to get your domain for free. Some hosting services offer this gift today. As an experienced webmaster I recommend BH web hosting which I’m sure it would work for you and fulfill all your requirements. They have a really great offer for hosting & I have used them for over 3 yrs now, and have never had a single problem with them. You can reach reviews about this web hosting provider and its latest DISCOUNT COUPONS at: http://www.threehosts.com/reviews/1st Only $3.95 /month (with discount coupon) They also offer "Free Site Builder" that helps you build your web pages without difficulty if you are not skilled in using any website creating program (WYSIWYG: What You See Is What You Get). You can use this service optionally. You can also create the pages offline with your favorite program (DreamWeaver, FrontPage, Microsoft Publisher, iWeb etc.), and then upload them to your web host. This is another easy way to get your website online. ******IMPORTANT******** * This service was awarded the “Best Web Hosting OF The Year”. * If you sign up for this service you will have $75 credits to advertise your website with the google & yahoo search engines for free! * You Can Register A Free Domain or Use Your Existing Domains. • There are many options. Hover is a great option. It's backed by Tucows Inc., the largest publicly traded registrar and third largest ICANN-accredited registrar in the world. The company takes great pride in everything that it does and Customer Service is a top priority. Before going with GoDaddy, I'd check out nodaddy.com and forums.nodaddy.com Hover's great. Check out http://www.hovercoupon.com/ for a review and remember Hover.com coupon code HONEST for a 10% discount.
  • I suggest the site http://www.tucktail.com/ for registering the Domain Name at low cost...
